Joan Jett

Someone asked about my avatar and this is the drawing it's based on. I guess most of you "young people" won't know her but she was very popular during the '80's. She is still out there "rockin' & rollin'" though and I've always been a big fan of hers. I was able to meet her last year and give her this drawing in person. She was so nice and really liked it. It was a big thrill for me since I've been a fan since the early 80's (oops! showing my age again )

Anyway, same materials and pencils as usual. Shading looks a little rough due to the scanner picking up the texture of the paper more than the delicate shading. But I like to use heavy stock textured paper. I like the way it "grabs" the pencil. But I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed drawing it.
